High Holiday Appreciations 5786 / 2025
I don’t think I tell you often enough how much I respect and admire your ongoing leadership of our community. Your dedication and thoughtfulness shines through when you know and acknowledge each person - when you make space for different perspectives and when you share what is deep in your heart. Thank you for a lovely Yom Kippur service - from the enchanting melodies of Vladimir and Marvin to your discussion about grief.

Thank you for making the High Holidays so meaningful and special. Your services were so beautiful and heartwarming. I especially loved your sermon on Kol Nidre about your mom. I’m sure I was not the only one you brought to tears. I know how much preparation goes into each service, and your ability to both honor the Torah and address current events is amazing.
I was so glad that Janette came to the Kol Nidre service. On Rosh Hashanah she reached out to me to see if she could come to a service. It meant so much to me! I know she and Marissa chatted a bit, but the funny thing was that her cat loved all the music. She had never seen this side of her cat, from Molly to Marvin on the violin, Vladimir on the clarinet and of course you singing. Janette also said that she couldn’t believe how amazing your are! She was so impressed!
Again, thank you for being you.
